Questions, Answered
The practical things, in plain words — so you can decide with ease.
Do you take insurance?
Crescent Moon Awakening is a private-pay practice, so sessions aren't billed to insurance and I'm not in-network with insurance panels. This keeps your care in your hands — no diagnosis required on your record and no limits set by an insurer. You receive a receipt for every payment, and you can always check with your insurance company about out-of-network benefits on your own.
How long are sessions, and what do they cost?
We start with a free 20-minute consultation so you can ask questions and see if we're a good fit. After that, individual counseling sessions are 50 minutes and cost $155 each. You pay before you schedule, and you can book one session at a time or buy several to use as you're ready.
Are sessions online or in person?
All sessions are online, held by video from wherever you feel comfortable — home, your car, even outside. I'm licensed in Arkansas and work with adults across the whole state, so there's no office to drive to and no waiting room.
What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens — please just give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule. If a paid session is cancelled, it isn't refunded, but the session stays yours and can be rebooked at another time. You can also cancel or rebook from the client portal.
Is what I share confidential?
What you share in session is kept confidential. Like every licensed counselor, there are a few legal exceptions: if there's a serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else, suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, or a court order. Your official records are kept in a separate, confidential system outside this website — this website is not a HIPAA-compliant platform, so please don't send sensitive health details through its forms.
